Has anybody seen this issue before?

My CIC controller in my E92 keeps cutting out when I am using it.

The scroll wheel works fine but if I push the nav, media, tel etc button then controller loses power then will come to life again and the button will work.

Whenever driving at night if I push a button all of the lights on the controller switch off then it will light up again 3 seconds later, then if I push the button again it may work.
