DIY question on changing hood

Hey guys,

I'm getting the V-35 hood today and was planning on doing the swap myself. Anyone know if there are any special instructions for changing the hoods? So far it looks fairly simple with a couple of bolts on either side, but I do see some kind of pneumatic feed line going to the hood on each side. Also, is there a special way of undoing the pneumatic piston assembly that helps lift the hood? Any help would be appreciated since the body shops around me are retarded and won't do any installs/paint without them ordering the part themselves.

nvm, it was extremely easy for anyone getting a vorsteiner hood. It took me and a friend about 2 minutes to take off the old hood and install the new one. Took about another 45 minutes adjusting it though lol.

You do need to do something when you are changing out your hood. You need to buy E92 M3 OEM hood shocks. The shocks are made for a lighter hood. The OEM 335 shocks put to much pressure when closing the CF hood. Vorsteiner told me this. Good Luck
