Alarm chirp malfunction?

Ok, my understanding of the chirp function for the OE alarm is as follows:

Locking - 1 chirp
Unlocking - 2 chirps

3 chirps when unlocking - signifies that the alarm was triggered

Recently, I've unlocked a few times and only heard 1 chirp. Is this just an alarm gremlin?

Any thoughts?

I didn't know about the 3 chirps... good to know. I've only ever heard 2 chirps when unlocking, so I don't know what could be happening on yours. Sorry.
