Engine knock???

Hey guys there is a knocking sound coming from the engine under load and certain rpms. I recently took the engine cover off to do my coilpacks when i noticed this. With the cover on its very faint and not that noticeable. Heres the video links...

2nd video 100% rod knock. Not too late to fix it. Don’t drive it and don’t rev it like that anymore.

Oooo yesss. The case of the n54 rod knock problem that people continue to deny exists. Stop driving it immediately. Tow it to a shop or tear into it yourself.

Totally rod knock. Feuer is right, you can still save it and it wont be that hard to do.

Are you mechanically inclined? $300 in parts, give or take. Would be substantially more expensive at a shop.

If done at a shop a lot of money. Roughly around the labour to do turbos. Subframe has to come out.

1500 for parts and labor. You'll end up with a new oil pan gasket in the process. And be able to have a peek to see if there is any cylinder wear.

Remove oil filter and see if there are metal shavings.
