very interested.
i just bought my car last month and i'm uneasy about not having an alarm system on such a HOT car... was going to look into it this week.
does that function properly on an '08 335i coupe??
and does it have the mirror mounted motion sensor??

Here are some pics of the unopened box.

As for this working for an '08 335i coupe it definitely should, but you can double check your owner's manual to see if the PN # is compatible.

I went to JMK BMW in NJ.. they quote me approx 550. for the alarm and to "program it".. I asked how much will it be if I only want them to program it.. they said it will take like 2 hrs @ 120. /hr.. = 240. is this right.. bc if it is.. then i might as well just take it in and let them do it. .no?
if I do it myself I will be spending about 230 for the alarm, 240 to program and all the extra labor, bc you'll have to remove tire connect a few wires, mount sensors, etc.. 470. i'll be only saving about 80 bucks.. thoughts?

Call another dealer. Shouldn't take 2 hours to program. Activate is the term most often used here. Maybe to the dealer, "programming" includes installing it as well.

that's BS...it takes no longer than 30 minutes. Try BMW of Doylestown (PA) if that's not too far.

I took mine there after I installed the alarm myself. They didn't charge me a dime.
