VEI Installed- Steering Column

I previously had my VEI gauge on the side of the dash where Rixster's pod is, except I just had in a temp. gauge holder that comes with STRI gauges. The wiring was exposed and it looked ugly.

I re-did it and wedged in between the steering column and speedo area.

What do you all think?

looks good but from the pics it looks like it blocks your view of your info screen that displays mpg and miles to empty, but i guess thats not that much of a problem if you dont use that much, but overall nicely done

I had the STRI gauge before and that was mechanical and matched the lighting perfectly.

True. I can still see the info, just not head on.

could you put this in the corner of the steering wheel column and maybe add two gauges so you could see the mpg/mls info? or does it cover to much of the instrument panel?

If his gague was like mine, I question the accuracy... The needle on mine sits quite a bit below "0" when the car is off, and it seems to droop more with each passing week. I'm about to install one of the VEI gauges myself, I just have to find myself in a mood where I feel like playing with wires, heh.

+1 The STRI was not accurate and only thing nice about it was the color match to OEM.

There's room for another gauge. It only covers up the Mileage/Trip computer area.
