Which exhaust to get?
So i’m thinking i’m gonna order a new exhaust this month finally. My only thing is I’m debating which one to get. It’s mostly between Vanguard, HKS or go cheap and get the VRSF street.
I’m really leaning towards the Vanguard but i’ve never heard any of them in person and if i’m not gonna notice a major difference in the 3 sound wise i might as well save the money. Please don’t recommend the performance exhaust mod as i don’t want to go that route.

Vrsf street exhaust gets my vote, but if you don't want it to drone at low rpms, you will also have to get a resonator welded onto the midpipe. I went with a 3.5 inch vibrant resonator and I am very happy with how it sounds now.
Edit: This is assuming that you have catless downpipes as well. Last edited by ragingpanda; 10-03-2020 at 10:03 PM.. |

Bomiz exhaust for the N54 is amazing. It's quieter than stock with the valves closed and all hell breaks loose when you open them via a remote control.
It's the way to go if you have kittyless downpipes and live in an area with lots of enforcement if you know what I mean.

I’m not really worried about it being loud as it is not my daily driver. I also dont live in an area where cops go after you about a loud exhaust. There is plenty of straightpiped mustangs that are far louder than my car will ever be running around.
I’m mostly concerned about how it is actually going to sound. Based on youtube vanguard is my favorite sounding and i’m not too keen on the idea of having to buy resonators and mod an exhaust just to get it to sound good. I’d rather spend a few hundred more at that point. I’ll be doing the install myself and dont personally own a welder at the moment
