Any GT4 players here?
I bought myself a used PS2 just to play this game and fly around the Ring. I probably only have about 6 hours logged on it but am through the B and A licensing and working on the IB license.
Questions: it seems to me that the object is to win races and earn money to mod your car and then win more races etc. I have a souped up Civic VTEC now, if I put the money into HP increases, will I end up racing faster cars (i.e move up a class) or will I race the same slower ones and win more. Or...should I keep the HP the same and invest the $$ into handling/braking mods so that I can outcorner/brake the same cars? This game is awesome. I took a TiAg 330i out for a few laps of Laguna lol

The civic won't take you far (understeer and torque steer issues), best to save up and shoot for en EVO 8...get the RS unless you want to tinker with the AYC. The EVO 8 served me pretty well and got me pretty far (in some of the eligible enduro race) and as a plus you can use it for rallying.
Do you have a nice set-up? I converted/reconfigured a $25 IKEA computer desk along with a $9 folding fabric outdoor chair to make a pretty decent cockpit (for the Logitech Dual Force Pro). Didn't want to pay few hundred dollars for cockpits... PM me if you're interested and I'll email you pics when I get home tonight.

GT4 is a blast to play, with tons of cars. The bad thing is though, the endurance races can literally take days to finish and once you get to extreme cup(dream car race & All-star), the competition is so tough, you either get a 1000HP+ car just to blow them out of the water or if you use something similar it'll just be an impossible race since you pretty much have to use super hard tires just to pit less and stay in pace.

I think I'm about done with that game though, don't have the patience to get that stupid last license test done (the ring, fast and with zero off track events, unless I did pass it then just forgot either way I spent way too much time on that game) |

you can speed it up by buying/changing wheels...it adds one day and doesn't affect your win/loss ratio
