Pickup: what should come with the car?

I've got a E90 LCI coming - should be at the dealer in 2-3 weeks.

I know to ask the dealer to NOT drill the holes for the front plates. Other than that, is there anything else I should request?

Also, what should come with the car that I need to check for? I've seen the "car inspection" thread elsewhere here - I'm not talking about that. What I mean is, other than the obvious car manual, what is supposed to come with the car that I need to make sure is included? A instructional DVD? Demo CD? Any cool stuff like a poster, "sketch", etc?

Thanks!

I'm interested in this also... I'm picking my car up this weekend! Can someone post the link to the vehicle inspection list...

I asked my dealer to not put on a front plate nor any type of sticker or logo that says the dealership name on the car...i hate those.
I want to keep the car as "clean" as possible.

Some other popular requests:
1) Do not install wheel locks, floor mats, etc. unless complementary
2) Do not wash (Dark cars if you're picky about swirls)
3) Please keep locked at all times

Things your finance guy will try to sell you [and you may actually want]:
Wheel & Tire Insurance
Clear Bra (factory pre-cut vs. custom install)
LoJack Early Warning

Things to check for [it's easy to get caught in the moment]:
Paint - door jambs, trunk etc. where it may not stand out
Nav Disc - this will be covered when your CA explains iDrive to you
Window Sticker - nostalgia for some, make sure it's in the paperwork

I ordered a Space Gray.. should I be worried about swirl marks if the dealership washes the car? Or should I just ask them NOT to wash it?

Great question for the detailing gurus in that forum. Or, if your dealer has any space gray cars that have been on the lot for a while see how they look.

I know blacks (and Monaco Blue by association) can show swirls pretty easily, so it was a concern for me.

My CA confirmed hand wash. I'm going to try and get complimentary floor mats and UV sun screen.. but I dont know how well that will go haha.. and of course a hefty discount on the extended services.. as they are already making a whole lot of money on the car I built..

Swirl marks (which are really fine scratches) can occur with any color of paint - it is simply that they show more easily on darker colors. However, over time, swirls will detract from the finish of even a white car (at the very least, it will start looking really dull).

I'm sure BMW dealers are more careful than, say, a Toyota dealer. Still, I would never allow my car to be washed by anybody but me.

OK, but again, what should be IN the car that we should look for?

E.g. The 1999 5-series came with an instructional audio cassette and VHS. The CD changer came with a demo Audio CD, etc....
