GS6-17BG dimensions?
I'm about to do a clutch job on jack stands and really don't want to have to muscle the transmission in & out since it'll be just me. I'm plan to use a low profile transmission jack.
Anyone know the dimensions of the transmission? I'm trying to figure out how high I need to get the car to be able to roll it out from under the car. Thanks! |

OK, this doesn't answer the question as posed, but I did a clutch job on stands using the harbor freight "red and white" transmission jack and I was able to roll it out from under the car. I had the car pretty high up on stands.

While it doesn't answer the question, it's still really helpful. Harbor Freight has several transmission jacks. Is this what you mean by red and white? Also, do you remember what tonnage your jack stands used were?

Yeah - that's the trans jack I have. My stands are "6-Ton SUV" stands from pep boys or something - they're taller than the usual 2-ton ones.
