Spacer question
Ok, this will probably be a dumb question but I don't really know much about wheels. I bought a set of wheels, 18x8 with a +38 offset. Since the wheels would be back further than stock, can I add 5mm spacers to the hubs to push the wheels out without getting new bolts? I'm thinking yes, but I want to check before I order. Also, can any one reccomend a good brand for spacers? Thanks.

H&R makes spacers. I think even for 3mm you need longer bolts. Have you checked their application guide for TRACK+, (spacers?) www.hrsprings.com

untill they died a horrible death, i was running my 19X8.5 ET30 Race GTS's on 15 mm spacers in the rear, effective ET15.
since you have a sedan, you can probably do 10-12mm spacers. I recommend rogue engineering, they include correct lugs, so you dont have to buy another thing on top of the spacers. http://www.rogueengineering.com/Merc...t_Code=WSPACER

Why do you want the thinnest spacer? If you are buying spacers at all to make your wheels sit flush, you should try to get the thickest one that works without rubbing.

It will be hard to tell from a picture. What you can do is jack the car up and take out one of the rear wheels and read the number on the back. That will tell you what the offset is. Let us know and we will recommend a spacer set for you.

For the rear you can easily run 15mm spacers. As for the front, you can go with either 12 or 15. This is assuming your original post meant 18x8 ET38 on all 4 wheels.
