I recently flashed my ECU back to stock using mhd on my 2009 335i and the day after I get codes that indicate my water pump has failed along with the loss of power and the fan running at full speed. The day before the flash I was running stage 0 with burbles, no issues with the water pump and the car ran fine.
I was wondering whether this was a problem with my reflash or if the water pump is actually going out because the car has reached 72k miles, right around the point where the water pump gives up, but the spontaneousness of the failure is odd.

Likely that your water pump is failing.. Just weird timing.

yeah total coincidence, water pumps are known weak spots for this entire platform.

Alright thanks, I thought so too just wanted to know if anyone had experienced this as well or if I was just overthinking it.
