Hello !
Question for fitment wheels to my car ! I am looking for APEX ARC-8 17" wheels Car info below: 1. 2009 335i Xdrive LCI Sedan 2. Suspension: KW1 Coilover *Note Do not want to any rubbing, fender roll issues and camber. Option 1: 17x9 ET30 Square setups Option 2: 17x9.5 ET 35 Square setups Option 3: front 17x9 ET30 rear 17x9.5 ET 35 Staggered setups What tires should buy for those wheel options without any issues. (Direct fit would be perfect for me) *maybe i can put the spacers if i need. Thank you ! |

Here is some additional information, including our recommended tire sizes, for each of those fitments on a non-M E9X: Front & Rear: 17x9" ET30 with 245/40-17 tires -Direct fit. -255/40-17 can be used but may require front negative camber. -5mm front spacers required with KW coilovers Front & Rear: 17x9.5" ET35 with 255/40-17 tires -At least 5mm front spacers are required for inner strut clearance. -Aftermarket suspensions that are known for reduced inner clearance (see below) can not be used with this fitment. -Front negative camber may be required. -275/40-17 tires can be used with additional negative camber and may require rolled rear fenders. Front: 17x9" ET30 with 245/40-17 tires Rear: 17x9.5" ET35 with 255/40-17 tires -Direct fit. -5mm front spacers required with KW coilovers 275/40-17 rear tires can be used with rolled rear fenders and/or negative camber. -275/40-17 rear tires can be used with rolled fenders and/or negative camber. -xDrive must use 225/45-17 front and 255/40-17 rear tires. With KW coilovers, you will need a 5mm front spacer for inner suspension clearance when using the 17x9" ET30 up front. Due to the limited inner clearance you get with the KW's, you will not be able to run a 17x9.5" ET35 on the front of your car. Considering your car is X-drive, you will also be limited to 225/45-17 front and 255/40-17 rear tires for the staggered setup. With that in mind, I would opt for the 17x9" ET30 square setup for the best performance with minimal modifications required. If you have any additional questions please let me know! ![]() -Geirsen

You can safely have the following setup:
17x9.5 +35 square +5mm spacer front (due to strut clearance) +10-12mm spacer rear 255/35/17 I have a '12 E91 xDrive with the above set up (just without the rear spacers for now). I have about -1.5 front camber and -1.8 rear. |

Also, a 255/35-17 tire is too short for the non-M E9X chassis. That is more than likely the reason why you are able to run this setup with stock camber settings without any major rubbing. On an LCI E90 or E91, the 17x9.5" ET35 sits quite flush with the rear fenders without any spacers. If you used a 10mm or 12mm spacer with that wheel, you would have quite a bit of poke and would more than likely need to roll the rear fenders or add some negative camber to alleviate any rubbing that would occur. Just wanted to clarify these points to ensure OP doesn't end up with any issues once he decides on what fitment he wants to move forward with. ![]() -Geirsen

My setup: Front: 18x9.5 +35 plus 5mm spacer Koni Yellow struts Eibach Pro springs 255/35/18 -1.5* camber Rear: 18x9.5 +35 no spacer TCKline shocks TCKline springs 255/35/18 -1.8* camber ![]() I'm curious how the width of KW V1 coilovers compare to Koni Yellows with Eibach Pro springs (my current setup). I run the 5mm front spacer to clear the spring. I had coilovers previously and the 5mm front spacer was also needed to clear the spring perch/adjustment collar. Unless OP is at stock height, I highly doubt the car has stock camber specs. Around -1.5* camber will help with fitment and overall handling. Based on the photo, the front pokes out just a few mm but looks great (subjective). The rear is a bit more sunk. I tested a 12mm spacer on last week and that made the rear end flush. I wish I had a photo to share |
