Smile Diesel engine degreasing and wax question

Hi,

In the near future, I am moving from my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel to a BMW 3 series. I am selling my truck myself and want this to be as good as a new car or better. If there is someone that is in the Dallas, Tx. area that is a good detailer, please refer me to him/her. If not, could you answer these questions

A) what engine degreaser is good for diesel motors (I have alot of gunk and lame diesel stains)
B) what is the best black wax for cars and trucks.

My engine compartment is ok for truck means, if I have a person wanting to buy it, I want it to look as or almost as good as the photos I have seen of the engine bays.

Thanks

Mike

Simple green works quite well on trucks, I've cleaned a few diesel trucks myself. After you want to dress it with something like CD2 engine detailer. For an OTC wax that can be bought at pepboys, autozone, strauss, etc I always liked how Meguiars Gold Class looked on black cars.

As for a detailer in your area, I believe Scott wax is in your area, his website is scottwax.com. He does great work at a reasonable price.

Its a deisel....... Simple green barely cuts the grease in my 2500HD.. I usually by 2 cans of engine degreaser for the lower stuff and use the simple green for the top stuff and let it soak for 10min or so then Pressure wash that shit off let it air dry by running the engine for 5/10 min. Then ass above posted get some CD2 for the final dressing look start the engine to burn off the shit and let it sit for a good 20min and youll be good to go!!

Everyone is using Meguiars or Chemical Guys stuff to clean it off, but havent seen the Meguiars in a couple stores and was hoping to get one soon to have it up for sale quick so I didnt order the Chemical Guys. Is Meguiars that much better than the standard engine degreaser? If so, Ill wait and order the Chemical Guys stuff.

Now CD2 I presume is in all auto stores...

I was looking at the Fade 2 Black stuff for my interior as well. I am using the Meguiars interior cleaner and it smells and seems pretty good. Is Fade 2 Black a much noticeable difference?

Nahh man just go to wal mart.. no need to order products especially if your just trying to get it for sale as soon as possible. I just buy standard engine degreaser its like 1.99$ a can usually.. THen get a gallon of concentrated simple green and if u dont have an extra spray bottle to mix it in get one there too! U should be able to find the CD2 engine Detailer there as well! If not autozone carries it!!

Personally I use NXT TECH PROTECT in my Trucks for the interior and it really brings back the original sheen it has good cleaning agents and it smells great! At my super wal mart i can get all this stuff..

Again this is for my trucks they are my work horses that i drive every day usually and spending lots of money on boutique stuff doesn't make sense cuase i get them dirty and dusty within a couple days and most of the meguiars NXT stuff works great if not just as good It just doesnt Last as long and being in my truck i wash them once a week anyhow so it makes sense to me go that route with the trucks especially the way the economy is lately I try to buy as little as possible!!

Know for wax and other boutique products for my bmw's I do use Jetseal 109 for a sealant for the paint and I use 303 aerospace protectant for my interior.

Walmart sounds good to me, until I get my BMW of choice, then Ill move up on the cleaning stuff...

I have the truck because i'm tall, 6'10"... After test driving a 3 series while I am looking for cars, it was a no brainer to decide that the BMW makes sense to go with...

I dont know what model of Meguiars, but its the good stuff I think... It keeps it clean, shiny and smelling good so...

Bad Plug: If anyone is looking for a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Sport Package with a HO Diesel and not worried about miles, (125000), feel free to email me.. Its black by the way...
