That other product recommended above or something like Aero 303 would be better. or just wipe your hoses with a wet rag.

I learned the hard way that using a spray quick detailer will make them look nice, but will quickly dry out and look bad, so not that.

Yes you can, it will help the hose stay less brittle, but as others have mentioned there are better products out there
