Use of JBD CAN Tool on other BMWs
Those of you old-timers who used the JBD from Burger and perhaps also used the associated CAN tool, I have a question. I use the CAN tool as my cheap way of reading BMW codes and then I can figure out what is going on. It's rudimentary but accurate enough for my use on my 2011 335d. I'm thinking of getting a 2021 X3 M40i. Is there any reason why I couldn't use it to also read the fault codes on that new beast? It's just giving me the 4 character fault code, not trying to decipher it for me.
