E90 N55 lean/rough start issues

So I just replaced my hpfp, as I had a shop diagnose the car and they said that was the issue. But I am still getting lean/misfire codes on startup. It doesn’t seem to be the hpfp this time as I have mhd installed and the pressure is right around 700-760psi at idle. I’m thinking possibly it’s getting too much air in the system somehow like throttle body sticking or a leak somewhere. Because once the car is warm it runs completely fine, with a few weird hiccups every once in a while at slow speed/stopping it falters slightly. Any ideas?
Plugs and coils are very new less than 5k miles on them and I have also cleaned the intake valves so very little carbon buildup. Here are the codes I’m getting from mhd over the last week or so, also going back to stock doesn’t affect it either. I do see a valvetronic code as well, which may be my issue.

They are all related to the valvetronic issue, you need to try and do the Valvetronic teaching routine for the limit positions using ISTA, Protool, etc. Get whatever you paid that shop back.

I’ve never heard of that, how would I go about doing that, I have protool. I did the hpfp myself just had them diagnose.

Valvetronic calibration was the function I selected, it completed. Is that really all? I’ll update when I can do an actual cold start to see if it misfires/runs rough again.

If that doesn't work and you still have the code, then you have a problem with the valvetronic motor or the rest of the system.

So I tested that method and on cold start today got another weird code, but no more valvetronic codes. Any ideas?

Can you share a 30 second idle log with the engine warm? www.datazap.me.

Your engine needs to be at operating temp, those logs are not really useful.

Your LTFT (long term fuel trim) should be within 5% from zero, positive or negative. Yours is at 13+% but again the engine is not up to temp so it's largely useless.

Yeah, LTFT and STFT look good.

Yeah at this point I’m thinking most likely injectors, because coils and plugs are pretty new.

If you can get access to ISTA or a decent BMW scanner you can easily test the injectors.

Also, relating to the 2BC0:

"- Secondary fault: If additional diagnostic fault codes related to malfunctions in the following components have been logged, process these problems first: Oxygen sensor before catalytic converter, hot film air mass meter, intake-manifold pressure sensor, intake air temperature sensor, throttle valve, tank vent valve, camshaft sensor, high-pressure fuel system, low-pressure fuel system
- Check air intake system for leaks (checking the following components in the process: Crankcase breather, oil filler cap, dipstick, air-vapour elimination, brake servo, cylinder head cover)
- Check exhaust system for leaks.
- Replace injectors."

Could you post the steps to get to injector testing in ISTA. Thank you.

Update:
I tried many things but nothing seemed to help, injectors aren’t leaking, just updated the car because apparently it didn’t have the newest update and I reset the mass airflow and hpfp. All seems to be fixed, the update fixed the dying in cold start and resetting the sensors after that fixed the rough idle. Such a weird problem. Glad it’s finally fixed.

So how did you update the car to fix your problem?

I brought it to a shop and they did it for me, they noticed that mhd, installs an older version of the software and thus makes your car run terrible at cold start.

That makes no sense.

Actually makes perfect sense. MHD doesnt copy your DME stock map, it uses a generic one for all of that type of DME. MHD generic stock map must be out of date.

Out of date map on a 2011? I highly Doubt BMW has updated anything. My 2011 E90 has not been to the dealer in many years and I have run MHD since it was released.

This is not the only reported case MHD being outdated on stock map https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1789383 even though that was a 335is. That's two conformed so far.
