will any ipod generation work with the interface 0n the '09 E90??

I currently have in my '04 E46 the 1st generation of the the ipod interface used in BMW's. My Ipod I believe is the 3rd generation of the Ipod. Now that I will be getting my '09 E90 w/the ipod adapter I wanted to know if my Ipod will work. Has anyone needed to update their Ipod with a new generation in order to work w/the new interface made for the curerent BMW cars????

I'm assuming you meant e46.

The iPod is fine for your new e90, nothing to worry about.
