How to request software update for 10/07 build

My e93 is 10/07 build, for which I did ED. I am not sure what software (progman) version I have, but I would sure like to get the latest one.

Any tips on how I can get the dealer to update mine? I have an appt with them tomorrow for a bunch of other issues.

You either need to have an issue which would require them to update the software, or you could pay them to update it.

Does your car jolt when starting off from a stop when the engine is cold? Mine does. I thought the car was just cold and have been living with it! I think that this is one possible reason. (I'm still debating whether I want to report it or not because the car is cold when it is happening. It is a very strong jolt after an ever so slight delay, but it does go away. I think if I'm able to modulate the pedal just right it doesn't happen even when cold so...)

Oops. I just read you have a manual. Mine's an automatic. I'm not sure if it will apply to you.

Tell them your Ipod is switching back and forth from the radio. This is a TSB post and they will update the software immediately. That is if you have 6FL.

I have a 04/2007 build and I have had a few minor issues which would have been reason enough for a software update but the issues I had always corrected themselves within a couple of days. I spoke to my CA and he told me they wouldn't perform updates unless there is an issue that they can verify or is already published in a TSB.
