For some reason, my iphone does not charge when plugged into the usb using the cord provided from the dealer. i want to play music and charge it at the same time. this worked fine when i got the car and now it doesnt. Is anyone else having this problem?

Have you changed from the original iPhone to the 3G iPhone by any chance?

The iPhone 3G is not compatible with tonnes of iPod/iPhone charges and base stations. The Bose sound-dock and even Apple's HiFi, for example, will play music from both iPhone2G and iPhone3G but they will not charge the 3G.

I know my BMW snap-in for the original iPhone charges the 3G but it's a VERY tight squeeze to get the 3G into the snap-in, I've not got the 6FL cable so cannot confirm if it will charge the 3G or not.
