Window felt for tint
I have searched the forum and a few people recommended to get felt placed on the window seals.
I have a 2008 E90 and the installer that did my tint said that some of the newer cars had the problem of the scratching fixed, is this right or is it a car to car basis? Do I need to get it done? Do I need to do all 4 windows? Thanks |

he can check if there's felt when he takes off that trim right below the window... if anything it will be the back passenger windows.

I recommend it. All of the windows on my 2008 experienced scratching. I hardly ever open the back ones so it is hardly noticeable. Was bad on both front windows. I complained to the shop for not warning me. They agreed to cover the replacement of the film, but I had to pay the labor. Door panels have to be removed. if you did all 4 mechanical windows + the felt you are looking at another $400 bucks on top of the tint job.
