My E90 sport comes with M sport suspension
I went to BMW Part department from where I bought my car today.
They run a computer check on the VIN # and the print out said I have the M Sport suspension S704A on the option list. Is this the same is Sport package? |

The M sport is the same as the BMW Performance Suspension. The BMW Performance Suspension is what I installed recently. I recently did a write up on it. Search for it.

You have it as an option, or I should say that you had it as an option. This is what you said: "M Sport suspension S704A on the option list." I'm sure he was meaning that you had it as an option. It's one of those things where you're going to have to prove that you have it because I find it hard to believe that BMW added the performance suspension without you paying for it. Go out to your car and get the model number of the rear shocks. I'll compare it to the ones that I have. This is my review: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=172909

I can not believe it either. But, here is the copy of BMW print out. Is the last item on the list. Of cause it will check the part number on the shocks when I put on new wheels next week.

Seriosly, all you have to do is get on your stomach and look underneath the rear of the car. There should be a sticker on the shock. Just get the numbers off of that. The numbers should start with 33xxx...

I bought the car from locate BMW dealer's lot last Nov.
Anyway, just now tried to read the part number on the rear shock, but the sticker is facing the disk break, can not see. Just have to waiting till next week. I was just about to buy Koni FSD, if I am able to confirm it is indeed M shock on the car I am going to save myself some money. |

Alright, I think I have an answer for you.
BMW just changed the way they call the Sport suspension. They now call it the M sport suspension. This is not the same as the Performance suspension. They did change the shocks from Sachs to Bilstein so maybe this is the change.

Thanks for the info Mr. 5, I can not believe it myself either. Nothing is free.
So now everybody have Sport Package now have so called M Sport suspension on their car (please note this is not true). Anyway I will read the part number of the rear shock when I put on my new wheels next week. |

OK, here is the down-low:
Realoem.com is your friend! http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...63&hg=33&fg=45 Sport suspension used to be part number 33526771729 and is made by Sachs. Sport Suspension is now called the M Sport Suspension and is part number 33526784978 and is made by Bilstein. The BMW Performance Suspension is part number 33528036026. This is the part number on my shocks. So without you even looking, you have part number 33526784978.

Mr. 5,
Was body roll reduced with you went with the BMW performance suspension. I have PSS9s now, Im tiring of the squishy, bouncing Im getting. The car seems to oscillate in a lot of conditions. Its most likely due to me not having them set stiff enough to match the spring rates. A matched pair like the Performance Suspension might help that, what do you think?

Yes, it gets bumpy on the freeway when the road is bumpy, but the bumps stop very quickly! I'm very impressed, and I really like the feel.

I initially had the same impression with my TEIN SSP coilovers... I stiffened up the shock settings and now it rides great! ![]()

Yea, I just tightened up the front last night and so far it seems good. I am at about 5f/4r. Hopefully the shop will have time to install my H&R sways today. Im supposed to call back at about 12 and see how his workload is going.
