From my understanding the GFB3 is for boost control and it enables safety features to "save" the motor during a potential failure. Interruption in meth flow, PI flow, overboost, bad octane fuel etc.

I don't think there's a way to tune with a GFB3. Now the JB4 you can use for tuning and upload single turbo back end flashes in order to safely run a single turbo. And the JB4 has built in safety features for PI and meth flow as well.

I'm not running a GFB3 so my knowledge is limited, so I hope others who have it and use it can chime in and either correct me or pass more information along

If you do end up going with a JB4 look into getting a custom back-end-flash by Trebila.

I have N54ST that originally ran on GForceIII and base tune from VuDoc ??? Anyhow, I have ditched the GForceIII for JB4 and off the shelf JB4 BEF for ST. Runs great. I can sell you the boost controller for cheap if you are interested.
