First off don’t use Cobb. If you want to use JB4 and a flash tune. Download MHD app for your phone. Buy the flasher module and then download a back end flash from burger motorsports.

Oh and if youre new i highly suggest you get a metal chargepipe i like VRSF and replace your sparkplugs and ignition coils. There is more maintenance as well but those are the bare minimum you should do before tuning.

I’d also suggest if you havent purchased a JB4 yet to skip it altogether and just flash the car with MHD. It’s cheaper and is very good tuning software

Thanks for the heads up.. im not entirely new to the bolt ons and maintenance and all that but more of the actual tuning and flashing but I'll probably just end up going with the JB4 with MHD back end .. I also have a chargepipe and DCI on the way

You need a custom Cobb map, i believe Burger Tuning offer the map for free.
Once the map is flashed, you can put the Jb4 on map 5 or use map 6 for custom PSI targets

When I was new to the bmw tuner scene I looked at all options as well. Ended up
Going with MHD and never looked back. It's so easy and works great. Not to mention cheaper and you have access to several maps. If your doing bolt on and just want a good reliable tunes I'd go MHD. I am not even sure why you would need jb4 as well? I'm sure it gives you more options but I have never found MHD lacking at all. I believe you can also import custom maps with it.

BMS no longer supports Cobb so sell that and load one of the free JB4 MHD maps posted to their forum.
