Engine bay dressing. Does it repel dirty?

I like everyone else loves the look of a detailed engine bay, however I've wondered if the product ends up attracting more dust than an engine which was just cleaned w/no dressing. Thoughts?

If you used a water based dressing then no, it will dry and look clean without attracting extra dust. If you used something like wd-40, which I've seen some people do and I don't recommend this, it would attract more dust because it stays oily. I like using hyper dressing or CD-2 engine detailer.

CD-2 is an awesome dressing

Hyper Dressing is good as well, because you can have a high gloss shine or a natural matte finish! Hyper dressing is an all around good product to have in any detailing aresnal.

I use FK1's 108 Top Kote and it works awesome as well!
