ABG module Coding
Hello all,
I need some help with coding the ABG module (MRS5C08). I had issues with the BST (battery safety terminal) and seat belt tensioners a year ago. I got them coded out by a guy so I don't get the warning messages. After a year or so I decided to install new seat belt tensioners. After installing them the airbag light comes again on. I activated them again with NCS expert and the error messages don't show up for them anymore, but I got now the error code for the BST. For some reason, the car won't set the BPLUS_TRENNUNG1_1 to nicht_aktive even after uploading the changed FSW_PSR.MAN file. The car seems to overwrite my entries in the ABG module. I am a bit confused, the guy who coded the car the first time had no problem to set the parameter to nicht_aktive... Do you have any ideas about why the car is overwriting my entries? This is what I changed in the MRS5C08 file GURTSTRAFFER_FAHRER_1 nicht_aktiv -->Aktive GURTSTRAFFER_BEIFAHRER_1 aktiv - wasnt changed GURTSTRAFFER_FOND_LINKS_1 nicht_aktiv -->Aktive GURTSTRAFFER_FOND_RECHTS_1 nicht_aktiv -->Aktive BPLUS_TRENNUNG1_1 nicht_aktiv -->Aktive - Changed automaticaly after the coding |

Well, I've done it the other way. I've cut the 2 pin BST cable and installed a 2.2 Ohm resistor on the cable.
Cleared errors and boom, no more restrain system (MRS) errors. Br |
