Wheels for sale thought for the day
Is it me or are people just trying to sell used wheels/tires by the hundreds? I see people selling lots of wheels used but not really understanding that this isn't a good time to sell anything. Many of the OP will say "how come nobody wants these?" When the real question is why is everyone selling wheels in the first place? People need money now. Cash is king. Until people figure that out I see there being a large amount of used mod parts for sale. The wheel page is FULL of people unloading DPE, HRE, BBS wheels for numerous reasons but most of all because buying wheels for a car that already has them is a luxury that isn't a priority for most people right now. I am still surprised at the number of people paying extreme prices for wheels right now. Spending $4k for wheels and tires is a lot of money right now.

Whether $4k is a lot is dependent on who you are. But for me, yes it is, thats why I bought my tire/rim package new for 1500.

Well for those of us who bought a 3 series 4 grand is a lot whether we admit it or not. Hell, I own my car outright and it is still lots of cash to spend on wheels these days. In Vegas the economy is just flat out bad news. I don't know about other places but jobs are getting scarce and people are getting laid off that never thought possible.
I just see lots of people wishing they could sell their wheels and surprised when nobody responds. The fact is people with money don't want to spend it right now.

Off track from wheels...
but I remember people saying economy was real bad after 9/11, well this is about 10x worse than that. Back then people only scared about flying but they still took vacation(albeit driving cause gas was cheap), remodel their houses since credit was easy and tried to be comfy at their own house also knowing life can be short. Now, even you want to do those things, bank say no money. try to borrow from 401K what 401K. Try to cash in your stock portfolio, are you kidding me. Waren Buffet say get greedy now, I thought greed is what gets us here. Maybe two wrong can make it right after all Soon the only things selling will be water, bread and guns |
