replacing my rotors this weekend and i have this laying around. do you guys have experience with using this for the guide pins/bolts 7mm hex?

According to the Bentley manual the guide pins are supposed to be installed dry, however a silicone based lube such as the one you posted should be fine. I know I used that exact same lubricant on my pins, and also applied it to the pad ears and the back of the pad where it contacts the caliper and the brakes work fine with no dragging, no squeal, and no clicking.

Works great. It gets slathered in all my cars slider pins. Including the e36 track car.

It doesn't last as long in BMW calipers pins as other manufacturers because the sliders are exposed to the elements. I reapply twice/year when I'm swapping the snow tires on/off.

That said I like the BMW slider pins better than other manufacturers. Easier maintenance. The encapsulated pins hold grease longer, but nonetheless they seem to corrode and bind up worse than the BMW system.

AGS claims that it is compatible with EPDM and nitrile rubber so it should be fine. Petroleum based greases can cause the guide pin bushings to swell.

For whatever it's worth, BMW TIS says to clean guide pins only and to use anti-seize on other contact points.

I've used it on all my brake jobs as well with no issues.
