Dinan stage 2 review
So I just recently got the Stage 2 Dinan tune for my car, 2011 E93 335i N55 w/ M-sport package, and figured I would do a little review of it. So long story short, its a pretty conservative tune. The website advertises a 50ish hp gain and 70ish torque gain. Realistically, I'd say you're looking at maybe 15-20 hp and 40ish torque(just from my butt-dyno and from other reviews of this tune). I'd say the best way to describe it; when doing WOT from a dig, it pulls as hard as in 2nd gear as it did in 1st gear, pre-tune. And on the highway, you can definitely feel the turbo boost no matter what speed you're going. It's the kind of tune you get used to fairly quickly, its not a huge difference from stock, but it is noticeable when you get on it. But considering its only $250 (tune+install ran me a little under $400 in southern California) I can't really complain. For me, someone who daily drives my 335i, I think its great. Scratches my itch for more power, but I'm not worried about reliability. Also, could just be something I'm imagining, but I feel I'm getting maybe 1-2 mpg better than before. Especially considering I've been driving fairly aggressively since getting the tune, I've been averaging about 22mpg, mixed city and highway driving. So overall, if you're looking for big power, this isn't the tune for you. But if you want a bump in power, something that'll give you the edge over stock cars, and something that will won't keep you up at night worrying about reliability, I think it's great.

Don't have much experience w/ the ppk, but I do have the dinan exhaust as well, if you're interested in that. I love it, when I bought the car it had some aftermarket muffler that droned horribly at highway speeds, and the dinan doesn't at all. But it sounds great when you get on it, even has some pops and crackles if you downshift at the right rpm!

Its funny, I have the ppk paired with the pe. My other option was the dinan kit but the shop told me it would add 50 hp and I thought that would be too much. But I’m planning on doing a suspension refresh so I’m looking at dinan options vs the bilstein b12 kit. The bmw performance suspension has long been discontinued.
