Is there an average period of time it takes a car to go from 112 to 150? I received notice from my dealer that the car went 112 two days after I ordered it. I was originally told week 46 production, so I was hopeful that the process would go quickly.

Should the car go 150 within a week or so of 112? Or is there just no way to tell?

Or am I perhaps falling victim to the factory slowdowns?

Not sure there is a precise answer to this given my E93 first week of production last month and others I've tracked since then on multiple forums. "It varies" seems to be the best answer.

Even after you're in production (150), take it from one that knows first hand, use the status code as an indicator of where your car is, but be careful, the various BMW systems providing status are completely out-of-whack and inconsistent between themselves with what they report. My specific example, would indicate my car spent 2 days in the paint shop (152) while being constructed, and sat for 10 days at the plant after construction was complete before beginning transport to Bremerhaven. I have a number of examples from the forums of cars completed days after mine that shipped to the port and left Germany before mine did. Interestingly though -- out of BMW's control, the ship with my car ended up catching up to the one that left before it in the Panama Canal, arriving the same day to the port here in California. I'm a few days behind them in taking delivery as a result (hopefully this Friday, but awaiting confirmation!)

...the net is, be careful with those indicators. They can be deceptive and build your excitement level up only to be let down. Given my experience, trying to estimate time between individual status points is fruitless and overly frustrating. I found the status my CA provided to be the most consistent through the whole process, but it too I know was off, as the date the BMW system had for the ship leaving Bremerhaven was 2 days after it actually did. GOOD LUCK!

The factory is closed for 3 weeks. All productions for weeks 44-45 are 48+

So you may see your car in 111/112 status for a couple more weeks
