I've just done a cluster vin blank and millage blank.

Ive done quite a few, but it was a while ago and i wrote down what i do so i have a reference. All other clutsers I've done always report 0 miles.

So, I connected the r270 and clip and read the bin file, saved bin and then blanked the mileage using the r270 erase option, then saved back to chip, then did the vin blank (hxd) on the bin and loaded and saved and that worked to.

However, for some reason I read a post that said to change byte 0x2D7 to FF (upon reading futher this should be set to 00).

I did this and the the r270 reports that the milage is zero when read. but with the cluster powered on and the odo button pressed the cluster says 262875 miles.

Will the cluster when NCSexpert blank MAN coded to the car try and set the 262875 milage to the CAS and/or LCM, or will it just take the cars actual milage.

Or do i just pull the cluster apart again and change byte 0x2D7 to 00?

Car is e9x, can i use a dump from any car thats of eq type (2009 2l diesel)

Solved.

Pulled the cluster apart again and re did the dump to include the 00 at 0x2D7 and that did it, Cluster now blanked for both vin and mileage and mileage reporting as 0.
