picked up an e92 335 for super cheap because it won't start. old owner traded it at a local dealer and while they were test driving it died on them

In the video you can hear the noise it makes. Engine only has 89k km on it and according to car fax it was serviced regularly. When it's cranking you can hear little quiet puffs coming out the exaust. I've scanned with inpa, ista+ and an autel scanner and i get no codes other than voltage codes. So i replaced the battery it came with. After the battery i get zero codes now

Anyone got any ideas?

I know it's bad to just through parts at a car when solving an issue but you could try replacing the camshaft position sensor. It's fairly cheap and I have seen it solve other owners same issue. This is just a guess, but may be worth a shot.
Check all fuses to be sure as well.

What year is your car ?

2009 and wouldn't the camshaft give off a code if faulty

'old owner said it died on him while driving and traded it in at a car dealership.'

I suspect the car dealership has diagnosed precisely what's wrong with it and chosen not to incur the expense of repairing it!

So i've opened up the Valve cover and timing chain is fine. Did a compression test earlier and a cylinder had 0 psi. what would the problem be now?

Check the injector seals and hold down brackets, especially on the cylinder that had no compression. The sound in the 2nd video sounds similar to when compression is leaking past the injector.

i'm getting fuel and spark, i did use a boroscope in all cylinders and it seemed to be fine, i saw one cylinder that i could see the edge of the valve but i don't know if it was open or closed.
