Bomiz & Turner Valved Exhaust who has it?
Probably getting ahead of myself...
Can't seem to find much information on either of these systems. Do you have one? Describe the sound with the valve closed. |

There are plenty of YouTube videos for each exhaust. It should be noted the N54 really isn't the best sounding engine. BMWs straight sixes have already been pretty raspy. N55s do sound better. I think you are looking for the perfect exhaust that does not exist. Lots of great suggestions have been made so far. YouTube is great for sound clips.

Video's help but not really. Hearing how a system sounds from the outside on camera during wot pulls doesn't answer how a system sounds when normal driving. Looking for real world first hand experience. If you have that or know of a thread with that info please link it. Otherwise your comment is unnecessary. |

Friend of mine is running through Bomiz unit. Sounds great and the fitment is on point for his e92 but not anything special for the price. IMO putting an electronic dump valve after the down pipes or somewhere in the exhaust would sound identical for the fraction of the price. Just my 2 cents.

I had a buddy with a different generic valve system and it was kinda the same. Super quite or just straight piped. No real in between. For what it's worth the Borla exhaust is said to be one of the favourite sounding among the N54s. It's just expensive also.

It sounds great, best of both worlds in my opinion. |

I'm also looking to run a similar setup. Would love to hear if anyone has any insight.
I should have added my input to this thread instead of starting my own here: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1814819 That said, I'd like to throw in the other valved exhaust setups which are from IPE, FI, and valvetronic. Still not much info on any of these. I'm tempted to pull the trigger on FI, but can't get a response from the company.
