obd pin tool by TE?
The plastic sides that screw in to hold the obd in place are broken and I am wanting to replace the part. The BMW part number is: 6 954 580 and it is made by TE. TE's part number is: 1452733-2. It is a "restricted part" by them so no information is available or which TE tool to use on it to release the pin barbs. I tried this same thing with a headlight connector and buggered up the pins using what I had. I do not want to do that again. What is the TE tool that is made to release the pins? If we can not find that out what do you guys use?

Hey I'm going through this due to a damaged pin. I used this from amazon:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Pain in the ass no matter how you do it. I bought a tool too remove the pins and could not get them all out. definitely couldn't get the damaged one out. I used male and female spades to connect it so if I have to go back there it will be much easier. Good luck. I'm not sure if it is going to bolt in place with the screws. I'll update when I'm done and get a sticker. Here is the tool I bought. Lisle 56500 Terminal Tool Last edited by bmwbob89; 04-05-2021 at 01:47 PM.. |
