What Reads All N54 Codes?

I've had the SES light on for nearly 400 miles. My C-reader doesn't pull any codes. Is there a more capable unit available for diagnostics?

I doubt it - the car only has 4500 miles on it, and it should display the car on a lift icon when it needs service.

its very strange man, even a dinky $50 code reader should pick up a Sevice Engine Soon code... how strange... take it to the stealer if you're unmodded.

I'm running a V3 and I've wondered if my HPFP has been going bad. I was getting limps every other day. Anyway the car went into the body shop this morning. I may take it to the dealer when it's back and say hey it was in a wreck and this stupid light has been on ever since - what the heck could it be

Precision-Sport in Sanford, FL can read it. Not sure if you are anywhere near. That's where I take my car if I need anything.

I changed the plugs over the weekend. Haven't gotten another limp but the SES light hasn't gone out.

It reads generic OBD II codes, I guess thats what the OP was going for. But as an FYI it does not read or clear the real codes in your ECU.

Shiv suggested the limp I was getting could be a bad plug causing misfire with the tune, so I changed them hoping the SES light would also go out.

Correct, hopefully the newer version doesn't get delayed any further.

I assume by real codes you guys are talking about things like the manipulation code? Just want to figure out this service light.

No like the codes the dealer will read in order to bend you over.
