Is this what a collapsed motor mount looks like on an E92 335i? The dealership advised me that this a "critical" failure and they should be replaced. Picture is of the passenger-side mount that the tech took. Thanks!

2011 model. 55K miles. Don't drive a lot Here's a link to it if it helps. I added new Bilstein B8 struts a couple of years ago but don't think they could've caused undo harm to the mounts.

So, this car has the n55? Depending on how you use it & what level tune you may or may not have will determine whether you get OEM, 335is, poly 60a or poly 80a mounts.

If you are doing your motor mounts, you should also do your trans mounts too.

Yes .. the top ear usually has some space between it and that metal portion . Collapsed mount may permit contact with the subframe and the powersteering pulley. It is considered critical. I would replace with e90 335Is mounts. I personally do not trust the poly mounts as there is a lot of heat on the passenger side due to the turbo downpipe. YMMV .
