Stage 1

Hello, I own a 2009 335i and the only things I've upgraded was a charge pipe, bov and dci I wanted to run a stage 1 tune would it affect my car in any negative way or would I be safe with those components being reinforced already. Thanks

Are you referringto MHD? If so, you can safely run St.1
Any of the "+" maps require an FMIC

If you haven't already, give your maintenance items a once over. Plugs, coils, etc. Sometimes they're near end of life but holding on at stock power. Then people flash the car and they fail and cause issues

As mentioned, coil packs and spark plugs are under a lot more stress with a tune. If you want to play it safe, it's best to replace both before turning up the boost with stage 1. The Bosch 3 prong plug work great even tuned.
We see weekly threads on here of people chasing misfire because their coils or plugs are too old.

Spark plugs and coils might fail, (OEM Bosch plugs and Eldor/Delphi coils recommended) other than that you should be fine.

How old are those injectors? I went stage 1 with a leaky index 5, blew out the turbos and the cats.
