Any Idea What These Are?
I completed the manual transmission fluid exchange this weekend on the '07 E93. 100K miles....it was time. After removing the belly engine cowl, and sliding underneath to examine the transmission, I contemplated the blue metallic sticker on it which noted very clearly that the fluid inside was LIFETIME and that NO FLUID CHANGE WAS REQUIRED. Whatever. Out with the old black stuff, in with the honey coloured Red Line......
Anyway, when I removed the plastic belly cowling, these two items were sliding about. They must have fallen down at some point in past few months when I was working on the VCG, OFHG, walnut blast, and other items. Any idea what either are? I think the metal wire may be part of the securing clip for an old coolant hose I replaced.

The black rubber piece looks like an upper shock cover maybe? But how'd it get all the way down to the transmission skid plate? I'm just guessing
The other , i haven't a clue |

I'm thinking the rubber o-ring thing may be from the bottom of the old air box which I replaced with dual cones. The air box kind of sits on some studs and pulls off with a yank. I wonder if this o-ring was part of that attachment system. I'll have to look at the air box tomorrow.

Metal clip is from a female coolant hose connector. Save the clip, you may need it in the future. The rubber looks like one half of a wire grommet or some sort of isolator.
