Exclamation BMW 335i Drift issues

Turn DTC off, put it in MS, crank the wheel and pin it, car goes good until it has to shift into second and stalls out and stops (AT Transmission) when I try to drive it and do it again after it makes a weird clicking noise from my transmission and the only way to fix it is if I stop and start the car again, please tell me what t
You think the problem is, thanks!

Sounds like the problem is that somebody is abusing the car.

Do you get any codes? Does it go into limp mode? The open diff isn't the best tool for doing donuts. Really, the e90 chassis simply isn't great for drifting without heavy suspension mods. It's best suited as a high speed highway cruiser, IMO, but will give some grins in sweeping twisties as well.

That sort of opinion isn't what you asked for, though. When was the last time your transmission was serviced? Do you have a transmission tune? Mods? If you want to play I would suggest getting some cheap tires on a spare set or rear wheels and inflate them to max psi. Also don't get pissed when stuff breaks. Regarding the DTC, even when you turn it off by holding the button the car still retains some of the nannies to keep you from going off the road, from what I understand.

When DSC/DTC is fully off, there is no traction or stability control.

In some other vehicles, you can't fully turn the system off like in some mercs, this isn't the case here.

I have FBO and that’s really all, no codes I don’t believe, no tranny tunes it makes a very loud pop and shoots a huge bang and flame, then when I try to drive off it’s like my axle is broken but a restart fixes it all, I think I should invest in a M3 LSD?

LSD would definitely help out your situation.

Some mechanical issue going on. Not all issues result in fault codes. Also not all fault codes will be read by basic OBD2 scanners. M3 LSD won’t help here. For car to drift considering all is in good order with the vehicle it will just need a driver. A driver who knows how to drift can do it with open diff too. So find out what’s wrong with your transmission and then get some practice.

Just in general even if his drivetrain wasn't having a issue having a LSD will help the car transition a drift and whatever he wants much smoother and easier.

Your reply says “in your situation” which implies that LSD will fix the issue with the drivetrain. My car has an LSD, it’s perfect mechanical condition but doesn’t drift as I don’t know how.
