Holes in the floor to install new woofers!

In a Spanish E90 forum one member describes the sound system that is being installed in his E90 by a local sound shop.

They have to do some cutting in the body floor to make room for the taller woofers! JL 6,5" 6w0.

In my opinion cutting the floor of the car, even if it is just a little, is a big mistake. What do you think?

if you want a SERIOUS show car, that isnt your daily driver, and you wanna keep the car for years and years and years, a professional audio/visual shop can cut holes in the floor without any real damage. i wouldnt drive your brand new car to just any old local bodyshop and have them start cutting the floor up or anything, but professionals can do some amazing, "like stock" work.

I thought the body floor was a fundamental part of the carīs structure, and that cutting two holes on it would void its warranty.
