Just get some cheap rims with tires mounted off of tirerack.com. They'll balance and mount the tires for you for free. Go with blizzaks or dunlop wintersports tires.

got the duunlop sports with 17" rims mount/balanced from tirerack under $1000 shipped.

Got mine from discounttire.com. Free mounting, balancing and shipping. They don't have a lot of winter tire options though.

First year LM22 RFTs on Rial Salernos. They've done very well in rain so far, can't wait for the snow/snow showers tonight to see what they can do!
