to move the Idrive unit from one car to another? Was asked this by an E92 owner here who chose not to get the option. He figured he can find 335's in a junk yard and swap everything.

Is it even possible or is he dreaming?

I'm pretty sure there is an idrive retrofit DIY on the forum. I know people used to do it with second gen TLs when I was on that forum. Check the DIY section

its possible, but he need to have everything that car have. and after the install, it have to be program by the dealer.
