Spec Stage 3+ Question,

Hello gents, so I currently have a 2007 335i and it has the 335is Clutch & MFactory SMFW,

With the recent addition on the ST Kit & BMP Stage 3 Complete Fueling Solution (PI) the current clutch doesn’t stand a chance at 650whp,

My question to you is. Could I use the MFactory SMFW in conjunction with the Spec Stage 3+ ? If so does anybody have a link to said clutch. Thanks.

I'd have to say yes, the MFactory will work fine with the Spec 3+. Any of the retailers here at E90Post has the Spec clutches with packages with the MFactory. I've got to ask, did you run the car with the 335is clutch? Asking since at 650 whp I'd bet that clutch would feel slippery. Your car is going to fly. Be safe driving in Mexico.

Awesome, I’ll do some digging

Honestly I was shocked the clutch lasted as long as It did at 642whp to be exact . But I rarely drive the car 3k miles in the last 4 years of ownership. And majority of pulls where from rolling speeds. No launch’s clutch drops etc, car is an absolute riot right now lol

But last revision it finally let go.

I have a SPEC Stage 3+ clutch, run it on a stock flywheel though.

FWIW, it rattles a lot. I installed mine 3+ years ago, since then a lot of dual disks have hit the market. If I were in the market again I'd consider the dual disk at this point.

I'm running larger twins, PI, Full E-85, custom tune as well. SPEC Stage 3+ seems to be holding up, but for the racket it makes I think I'd be willing to try the newer dual disks out there.
