Feeler: Assume my Lease DC/MD/NoVa
Greetings,
I just bought a house, which means that my wife and I are moving out of our downtown DC condo. It also means that we'll be driving to work every day, and will be doing more with our vehicle, including buying furniture, large grocery loads, etc. etc. As a result, I may or may not be looking to get out of my lease in order to go with an X5 or something else. This is just a feeler to see if anyone's interested in taking my lease over, should I end up going in this direction. Details: 2008 e90 335i Alpine White/Beige 2,900 miles Immaculate Condition Sports Package Steptronic iDrive/Navigation Park Distance Control iPod (6FL) Split/Fold Rear Seats MSRP was $46,090 - selling price was $42,395. Lease is a 36-month lease which began in April, 2008. Payment before state tax is $462 + the $20 tire/wheel warranty. For example, in DC the total outlay is $524. Please PM me if interested. This is a great deal for anyone who wants a new car without the big down payment or hassle of the dealership. If anyone's interested in a partial trade, I'd be interested in an X5 4.6is/4.8is, an early year Cayenne Turbo or an ML55. Pics available for those with a serious interest. Thanks in advance.

I forgot to add that the car has a Helene air filter, which I could either leave in the car or swap out in favor of the stock filter.

PMs replied. Sorry it took a little while - I didn't have automatic notifications to my e-mail and have been busy at work.
I'm a little more likely to let this go now than I was, but I do love the car. I'm willing to listen to offers (including ones that help me recoup some of my cap contribution/down payment). Thanks again.

The car now has just over 3,000 miles. It's not driven in any daily commute (I walk to work); only on evenings/weekends.

whenever in doubt, one should get detail and some paint protection for their car lol
I would get a mini cooper S and spend the rest of the money in the bank. Buying a new house, you will have expenses that you have have not thought of. Example, heating might be a lot more, gas and utilities etc. Just til you get comfortable then get back into something sweet. (unless u have tons of money saved up already, it's always fun to get a new(different) car, so go for it if you don't lose much in the process. Raja

What I really want is an e28 M5. I'm buying my wife a Land Rover pretty soon so that means my car is solely about fun.

a friend just got a mint condition e28 535i with 89k original miles for 2,500$.
White with Cardinal. Dude, the OM (Original M5) was so badass. I think James of RRT has one a black one that he rebuilt from ground up, you should look into that if that is something you want.

I also forgot to add that I used Red Line SI-1 fuel system cleaner after 1,200 miles to help eradicate break-in gunk, FWIW.

Sorry to disappoint, but I think between the holiday season, the new house we just bought and the lack of another car (at least for the time being), I'm going to have to say the car is not available.
Sorry! Definitely check swapalease.com, though; seems like they have decent deals. I'll re-post if my situation changes.
