335is broken into. Need help finding replacement part
My 335is DCT was broken into. I'm guessing they tried to snip and hotwire the car and failed?
Where may I purchase new replacement cables from where they snipped it in the NAV area as well as the starter assembly? I already ordered a new BMW ignition switch button. Just need help getting all the cables. Thank you. |

Wow, thats a new one for me, freaking sucks man.
Wondering if any nearby salvage yards have the parts that you need. Where in socal are you located I know of a couple that might have the parts/harnesses you need depending on your location. |

That's a damn shame
I can't tell if some of those wires go all the way to the starter switch. I know for the connectors themselves I got mine from ECS, pretty easy to re-pin them. If you need to extend those then that's another job in itself.

Pretty sure the DME won't wake up without CAS telling it the key is valid. Sure you could hotwire the starter but it would just spin the motor, it would never fire. Maybe on some cheaper push-start cars you can just short the starter button and starter and trick the car, but I've never heard of it. Sorry to see OP, that really sucks. Makes me scared to leave my top down on my 6mt e93 with no alarm.

Did they just cut the wires, or are teh other ends missing? I believe those are all part of a larger harness, and I don't think you are going to be able to just get a new sub harness, unless you are replacing a good amount of the loom. Might want to just start splicing it all back together if you can.
