Subwoofer install RCA Line out issue

Hey guys,

After searching high and wide for a definitive answer i cant seem to find one so hopefully you guys can help me?

Ive wired in my subwoofer ground, power and remote cables and it switches on and off perfect, however after reading that i would need to tap the under-seat subwoofer cablers to create a RCA Line output realised the original harness going into the sub only has two cables? And my adapter has 4 cables which need to be connected? Am i missing a cable or adapter ? As now im confused ?

Also my sub seems to be pulsing? However ive noticed people saying to put the power cable to the end positive bolt and not the middle bolt, could this be the issue?

So you installed a subwoofer in the trunk? Do you have pics of the amp wiring?

Your amp likely has two RCA inputs, a left and a right. The amp will take these two signals, combine them, and output mono output to the woofer. I think you need to take the + and - from the left under seat which will make one RCA output. Then you take the + and - from the right under seat to make the other RCA. Then you plug the two RCAs into the amp to get a proper mono output. If you only take the signal from one under seat you might have issues with loosing bass if the song fades left/right.

Thank you for your response i have done exactly that now i have great bass, however i still have the issue of the Sub pulsing when the RCA’s are plugged in, and almost like clipping bass on and off, checked all rhe wiring….only think i know which isnt wired up is the ground of the LOC, does this have to be grounded? And if so where does it go to on the HU hub wiring?

Ground it to the frame of the car or the amp ground itself.
