Firestone Alignment Specs

Hi All,

Just got some new Bridgestone Potenzas on sale on tirerack and an alignment from firestone.

I noticed on the readout that the numbers dont align between driver/passenger side, and not all numbers are within "spec".

Is this normal? Or was this a lazy alignment from Firestone?

I have lifetime alignments so if there are numbers for camber/caster/toe/etc that i should strive for i can bring it back and ask them to fix it.

See attached (top is before, bottom is after).

Thanks for your input!

Kinda looks like they might have just done a front wheel alignment... What does your invoice say?

Front looks fine but rear is a little off. Are you lowered? It could be that they’ve Tun out of adjustment in the back.

looks pretty good. rear toe shows red but .34* is not excessive or anything. Just tightening the eccentrics can cause .1* swings... the difference between say .25* toe-in and .34* is practically nothing.

Up front, they will not touch camber. there is no adjustment there except pulling your alignment pins on the strut tower and playing with the upper strut mount. The toe looks fine. Drop it down closer to 0* for a bit sportier turn-in.

The camber in the rear is off a bit but again .3* camber is not much at all. I'd just drive it. Maybe take it back in at a later date and they can dial it in a bit more.

Firestone isn't going to spend hours trying to get things dialed in perfect. Every time you change the camber in the rear it will change all the other numbers a bit. Then they have to roll the car back and forward to resettle the bushings. Once you start getting into these micro adjustments they just roll the car off as good enough. Just putting gas in the tank will swing the alignment numbers way more than how far they are off in the sheet... the numbers will also change quite a bit when you sit in the car.
