Cic/cic head unit

Has anyone use the XTRONS HEAD UNIT, I installed one on my 335i E93. system works fine, using it with wireless CarPlay. but no sound from unit, Radio still works with sound does anyone have an idea what the problem may be?

Does that unit use Aux for input? If so, you'll need to make sure you've got aux input enabled in iDrive.

Are you saying there is only sound when you play carplay and no sound in all other
circumstances . Or is there just no sound.
Which of the three BMW sound system do you have?

No sound when I play CarPlay, factory radio works well!

Most of these are piggy back units that work of the Aux Input.
In cars with 6FL that have USB the Aux and the USB and AUX comes from
Trunk modules called the Mulf 2 Hi or Combox . The Head unit
communicates with these over the Most Bus Fiberoptic network.
If the Fiberoptic cable was not transferred to the new harness
there will be no communication and the Aux will not work.
Also when you have the 6fl option the aux at the back to the Head
Unit is programmed to be inactive.

Sound system is defined by the Speakers and Amp's (if any)
Stereo no amp head unit power only no tweeters
Hi Fi weak 6 channel amp includes tweeters.
Top Hi fi 9 channel amp connected via Most Bus.
