Quick question on I and XI wheels

i have an 07 e92 328i with sport package.
i am hunting for winter wheels and came across a great deal on style 159's.
the 159's are off an e90 xi.

can i run these 17s on my car with no fitment issues on either the calipers or hub? my friend who works for a bmw na shop says the i and xi wheels are different but ive heard some folks say there shouldnt be a problem.

They will fit just fine. The offset is the same for the wheels on both models (i and xi).

There is no difference between the i and xi wheels. Your friend is mistaken.
