How do I turn on my angel eyes, and ONLY my angel eyes?

I ordered some bright white angel eyes and should be arriving in a couple of days. But messing around with my headlights I noticed my daylight lights stay on with my angel eyes or my zenon with angel eyes. Do I have to do something special to have ONLY my angel eyes on during the day and both zenon and angel eyes at night?

If I'm not mistaken you can't do that on an E90.

yes you can. You have to do it through idrive. If you don't have idrive you can do it through settings.

... or if you have an early "2006" e90 (pre Sept'05 build, iirc) you have to humbly go to the dealer and ask them to recode the car. I haven't done it yet, but plan to bring up the options coding next time the car needs to go in. I've been told there was never a software update to add the options to these early builds... I'll report back what my CA says.

Well mine is a November 05 so it should have the software. And no I dont have i drive but I didnt think about the settings. Is it really that easy?

I have an 08 but this is what I did....go through the scroll on your dash like you were checking your oil but pass that until you reach the settings. When you hit the option button and you can set it to DRL or just angel eyes. The car has to be stopped when doing this. This should also be in your manual.

Well I went ahead and ordered some bright whites from ebay. But now looking through some of the threads on this board im seeing that maybe it wasnt the best choice.
Are there certain sellers I should be careful of? Can someone send me a link to a pair of bright whites they recomend?

lux 5.0's are highly recommended for e90's by the almost the entire forum. they can be found here: http://www.namotorsports.net/detail....t_cd/MDSLUX5.0
they're amazingly bright. just do a search on them and you're sure to find pictures.

I have an 07. I don't think there is an option for " DRL or just angel eyes." I can only turn on DRL or off.

Thats exaclty what you need to do. Turn off your DRL's and in order to turn on your angel eyes your going to have to manually click the headlight switch to the third position from the left. Should work, thats how I run mine.

I have an 08 335i e90 w/o iDrive. I turned off the DRL via the method mentioned above using the turn signal/computer control - very easy. The process is described in the manual.

Now when I turn on the parking lights, I have angel eyes and the yellow corner lights. If I set my lights to Auto during daylight hours, I get nothing (no DRL/angel eyes). At night, it's the lowbeams with angels.

My understanding is if you want to run angel eyes only (no corner lights, DRL, etc) in a pre-2009 e90, you have to do a "corner delete" which involves rewiring your lights. Do a search.

Predator ICE FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

search "Remmib" and check out his car. they're by far the best looking angel eyes imo. they look much clearer than LUXs which bleed like mofos.

So I understand, any '06 with a build date before September cannot be coded by the dealer for this? The only way is to splice into the wiring?

I checked these out and the lux. The predator's are 100 dollars less and they look brighter. Im going for brightest possible. Can someone confirm the Predator's are brightest.

I have a 2006 325xi with the adaptive headlight system but would like to replace it with something like the lux 5. Or some nice angel eye options but will,I loose my adaptive feature?

Yes... Old post and things have changed since 2008. I had Predator ICE at first, bit they started giving me problems, burning out, etc. I switched to LUX 5.0 and they've been trouble free for a couple years now. You can either get your car codes to have your angel eyes on all the time as daytime running lights without side markers, or install the daeos wiring harness like I did. It works great and looks good.
